Doha is de hoofdstad van Qatar. De hoofdstad van Qatar ontwikkelt zich tot een grote metropool en een belangrijk zakencentrum. Doha is een heerlijke mix van traditioneel en modern Arabisch leven. De skyline van de stad, die nog in aanbouw is, is zeer uniek en fascinerend om te zien. Elk gebouw is uniek, maar behoudt tegelijkertijd de Arabische sfeer. Het leven in Doha speelt zich af langs de Corniche, de lange boulevard langs de baai van Doha, een perfecte plek om te ontspannen en te genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op Palm Tree Island en de wolkenkrabbers van de stad. In het noorden bevinden zich de meeste historische bezienswaardigheden, waaronder Umm Salal Mohammed, een relatief groot dorp dat wordt gedomineerd door de ruïnes van een 19e-eeuws fort. Bijzonder interessant zijn de Grote Moskee met zijn vele koepels en de Abu Bakir al-Siddiq Moskee. Aan de westkust liggen prachtige stranden bij Umm Bab, Dukhan en Salwah, vlak bij de grens met Saoedi-Arabië. Het zuiden bestaat uit zandduinen en stranden, waar je parels kunt zoeken of diverse watersporten kunt beoefenen. Mocht u de drukte van de stad beu worden, dan ligt de rest van Qatar praktisch om de hoek, met prachtige landschappen en interessante historische bezienswaardigheden voor wie van avontuur houdt.
