1. Kuwait City
Stay
About the destination: Kuwait City is the capital of Kuwait. It’s developing quickly, with skyscrapers featuring interesting and unique architecture everywhere. The city has become a busy place, with heavy investment in hotels, shopping centres, restaurants, wide boulevards and beautiful parks and gardens. The Kuwait Towers, a group of three towers overlooking the Persian Gulf, are the city’s main landmark. Visit at dusk to enjoy both day and night views and to capture great photos of the skyline. The Grand Mosque is the national pride of Kuwait and the largest place of worship in the country. The National Museum displays ancient artefacts from Kuwait’s history, and the Al Qurain Museum is also well worth a visit. To soak up the local atmosphere, head to the Souq area. Luxurious and lavish, Kuwait City is full of modern shopping complexes, marinas, luxury beach resorts and extravagant accommodation, as well as top-class restaurants. This is modern Kuwait City.

2. Bahrain
Stay
About the destination: Sure! Here’s an English (Ireland) translation, with some subtle adjustments to reflect Irish English vocabulary, phrasing, and tone: The Kingdom of Bahrain is a Middle Eastern group of islands in the Persian Gulf, nestled into a corner of the sea between Saudi Arabia and Qatar. It’s something of an oasis of social liberalism – or at least a kind of Western-friendly moderation – among the Muslim countries in the area. Travellers are fond of it for its genuine “Arabness”, but without the strict enforcement of Islamic law on its non-Muslim minority. While its economy is still heavily based on oil, Bahrain’s more easy-going culture has also turned it into a bit of a social and shopping hotspot, which has helped it develop a fairly cosmopolitan middle class – something you wouldn’t really find in neighbouring countries, where there’s usually just a wealthy elite and the rest getting by as best they can.
