About the destination: Washington, D.C., officially known as the District of Columbia and often referred to as Washington, "the District", or simply D.C., is the capital of the United States. Situated along the Potomac River on the country's East Coast, the District is under the sole jurisdiction of the United States Congress and is therefore not part of any U.S. state. The White House, symbolically the country's most significant building, has been the residence and workplace of US Presidents for over 200 years. The Washington Monument, dedicated to the first US President George Washington, dominates the Washington DC skyline. The Capitol, a globally recognised neoclassical landmark, is where the US Senate and House of Representatives convene. The National Cathedral is the most famous US cathedral and has been the location for many national memorial services. The Supreme Court, one of the country's most important institutions, offers tours to learn about its history and operations. The Lincoln Memorial, dedicated to Abraham Lincoln, was completed in 1922 and is modelled after Greek temples. The magnificent Library of Congress, the world's largest library, houses approximately 90 million archive materials. The Jefferson Memorial, modelled after Rome's Pantheon, is dedicated to Thomas Jefferson, the third US President and one of the Founding Fathers. D.C. has shed its former reputation as a dull and dangerous city and now boasts shopping, dining, and nightlife befitting a world-class metropolis. About the destination: Orlando, situated in Orange County, Florida, has a lot to offer tourists, but it's fair to say that the main reason people visit Orlando is for the variety of amusement parks: Disney World, Universal Orlando, Sea World, and several other big draw entertainment places. However, Orlando has so much more. Beautiful tree-lined neighbourhoods, a vibrant performing-arts scene and various excellent gardens, nature reserves and museums around the city offer visitors entertaining alternatives to the theme park experience. If the outdoors is your thing, you can swim or canoe at Wekiwa Springs State Park or one of the area's many other sparkling springs. If museums are your thing, there are many and varied options such as the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art with its huge collection of Tiffany glass, or the Orlando Science Center, with hundreds of interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages. The city has a very 'young at heart' attitude, and it is a melting pot of different cultures. For nightlife, there is pretty much anything you want. The South Beach Art Deco District is a whimsical collection of more than 800 architecturally protected buildings in Miami Beach from the 1930s and 1940s – a definite must-see. Stay in one of its boutique or throwback hotels – you'll also find some of Miami Beach's finest dining, nightlife and spas here. North Beach's Ocean Terrace is fast becoming a smaller version of South Beach, with inviting oceanfront hotels and cafés. Regardless, be sure to go for a beachside stroll or to Haulover Park for fishing, bike rides, tennis or golf. And, of course, Miami Beach’s nightlife always concludes an unforgettable vacation day.

Experience the colourful lifestyle of the West Coast on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Here, you will find a festive atmosphere, eclectic entertainers and funky shops. By the scene at Santa Monica Beach, is the famous Pier with a perennial carnival like setting. Draws locals, as well as visitors from around the world. Located in Griffith Park on Mt. Hollywood is the Griffith Observatory. This great public observatory has state of the art facilities and excellent views of Los Angeles. If you are a shopping buff, you will love Rodeo Drive. A glamorous shopping District, Rodeo Drive is full of upscale and fashionable shops. Take a walk around Beverly Hills, you might even spot a celebrity in this neighbourhood. This city offers great weather, good shopping, lots of diversity, great cultural events, excellent dining, and friendly people. Los Angeles is cool, fake, stylized, vast and never boring.

About the destination: Las Vegas is the largest city in the U.S. state of Nevada. Known as the Entertainment Capital of the World or Sin City, it is located in the Mojave Desert and is surrounded by dry mountains. Las Vegas is famous worldwide for its consolidated casino-hotels and associated entertainment. The city is home to many mega-hotel complexes, each decorated with lavish care and attention to detail, creating a fantasy-like environment. Each hotel has a unique style, there are special sights everywhere, and every hotel has its own casino. Most of the hotel casinos are in the city's downtown area, along The Las Vegas Strip. The Strip is a world of its own. Where else could you go to visit Egypt, New York, Venice, Disneyland, Hollywood, and much more all on one street? The fact is that all the action that Las Vegas is famous for is happening on this one and only street. Bellagio could be considered the unofficial centre of the Strip, one of the reasons being the free displays of musical fountains which go off every half an hour with different choreography accompanied by different music. Bellagio is one of the more stylish venues with a superb flower garden and for those with gourmet inclinations, it offers arguably one of the best buffets in town. The Venetian is another point where one might linger longer due to its fabulous attempt at recreating Venice in the desert. The main square of Venice is filled with gondolas ply the water channels and opera singers entertain their captive audience on board. The opposite end of the Strip is closest to the airport starting with the funny rendition of Egypt with its Luxor casino despite the fact that there are no pyramids in Luxor, but everything is possible in Las Vegas.
