Seefeld Austria

A haven for cross-country skiers: Situated on a sunny plateau high above Innsbruck, the village of Seefeld is without a doubt one of the world’s leading cross-country skiing centres. Beginners and experts alike will find kilometre after kilometre of perfectly prepared trails winding across flat plains and into dense forests. Seefeld hosted the Nordic disciplines at the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics and regularly welcomes the world’s best cross-country skiers and biathlon specialists for World Cup events. The village itself is luxurious and exclusive, with one of the highest concentrations of four-star and five-star hotels in Austria. At the same time, visitors and locals can enjoy plenty of activities such as tobogganing and alpine skiing in winter, and everything from gentle walks to challenging high-alpine hikes in summer. Thanks to its sheltered location, Seefeld is one of Austria’s most snow-sure resorts, and also one of the few that attracts just as many guests in summer as in winter.
